The Asia-Pacific Centre for Social Investment and Philanthropy
Since its establishment in 2001, The Asia-Pacific Centre for Social Investment and Philanthropy (APCSIP) has undertaken a leading role in graduate and professional education on giving in Australia.
The Centre provides postgraduate education for potential and current philanthropists. It offers graduate programs at Master and PhD levels, as well as conducting workshops and seminars. It also undertakes research and provides specialised consultancy services in all aspects of philanthropy and social investment - whether by private or family donors or by companies.
In 2003 Pratt Philanthropies announced an initial grant of $210,000 over three years to contribute to the Centre’s establishment and provided an additional grant to establish the Heloise Waislitz Visiting Fellow in Philanthropy program. The program, which brings a leading international figure in philanthropy to Australia, recognises Ms Waislitz’ role as Chair of The Pratt Foundation. The Foundation has continued to be a major donor to the Centre.
