Visy Cares initiates capital works projects that enhance the quality of life for the community.
Established in 1995 by Richard Pratt, Visy Cares promotes social responsibility at Visy, where it is recognised that it is important to give back to the community that has helped make Visy what it is today.
Typically, Visy Cares leverages funds from a variety of sources, in addition to its own contributions, acting as a catalyst to establish community-based projects such as youth centres, information and library facilities, community centres, youth transition centres, hospital infrastructure, co-located facilities for migrants and refugees and school improvements.
Visy Cares consults with local communities and involves their representatives during the project's development. Financial contributions are drawn from the federal, state and local governments, as well as the wider and local business communities, philanthropists and individuals.
Visy Cares aims to build the community through strong relationships.
Pratt Philanthropies aims to be more strategic and pro-active in our areas of interest and which aims to achieve our mission -- "To enrich the lives of our communities".
